Amy Cote Head Instructor 4th Degree Master Belt

Began training in 1993 @ CCSU under Master Harry Needham. Obtained a BS in Elelmentary & Early Childhood Education in 1995. Began teaching CTSD in 2000 under Master Needham. Opened IMA Oxford through Oxford Park & Rec in April 2003. Currently teaches all aspects of the program in Oxford.

Rob Librandi Instructor 4th Degree Master Belt

Began training in 1992 under Master Jeff Haney. 6 time CMA 1st Place Forms and Sparring Champion ; 3 Time Battle of Boston 1st Place; 2 Time WTSDA Sparring Gold Medalist US OPEN Top 8 Heavy weight division Sparring; Arnold Classic Silver Medal Team Sparring, Bronze Heavy Weight division Sparring ; 2 Time CTSD Best of Best 1st Place Sparring; Weapon of choice: Tanto; Knowledge of : MMA, BJJ, Muay Thai,

Steve Cote  Instructor 3rd Degree

Began training in 1990 @ CCSU under Master Harry Needham. Taught at various dojangs in CTSD under Master Needham. He began teaching occasionally in Oxford in 2005 and has recently had a more dominant presence  instructing in the higher classes.

Chris Wentz Instructor 2nd Degree

Began training in September 2004 while in 7th grade. Became a Jr. Leader and assisted in the younger classes. Chris currently is a full time instructor at IMA - Oxford. He favors the Kwon Dao as his weapon of choice

Kathleen Mifflin 2nd Degree

Began training in 2003 while in 5th grade. As a red belt, Ms. Mifflin became a Jr. Leader and assisted in the younger classes. Ms. Mifflin was the first student to earn her 1st dan from IMA Oxford.in the CTSD Federation.

Corey Martovich 2nd Degree

Began training in 2003 while in 3rd grade. Became a Jr. Leader and assists in the younger classes. Favors fans as her weapon of choice

Nick Leung 2nd Degree

Began training in 2004 while in 1st grade. Became a Jr. Leader and assisted in the younger classes. Favors the Kitana as his weapon of choice

Katelyn Wentz 2nd Degree

Began training in January 2005 while in 3rd grade. Became a Jr. Leader and assisted in the younger classes. Favors the Nunchaku as her weapon of choice

Sam Mifflin 1st Degree

Began training in 2004 while in 2nd grade. Favors the Kitana as his weapon of choice

Collin Glasow 1st Degree

Began training in 2004 while in 7th grade. Favors the Kitana and knife as his weapons of choice

Joseph Hines 1st Degree

Joe came to us having already earned a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. He began his CTSD training March of 2007. In March 2010, Joe began teaching his own program at Stamford Hospital. Weapon of choice is the Tonfa

Hannah McDonnell 1st Degree

Began as a Little Ninja in Summer 2003 and rapidly progressed through to Kickin' Kids, Youth Karate, Family class, and Red belt training. She has the distinction of being the first Little Ninja to attain her Black Belt. Weapon of choice is the Fan.

Tammy Borkowski 1st Degree

Began in January 2007. Tammy has competed in Federation Tournaments and performed in demonstrations. She, along with Joe, are the first adult students to attain their Black Belts through this program.

Elizabeth Watkins 1st Degree

Began in September 2006. Liz has competed in Federation Tournaments and performed in demonstrations. She also participates in the Specialty Class and is particularly good with grappling.

  Zachary Burr 1st Degree

Began in January 2006. Zac has competed in Federation Tournaments and performed in demonstrations. He also participates in the Specialty Class and prefers the Bo as his weapon.

Matthew Swanat 1st Degree

Began in Sept 2004. Matt started as a  Little Ninja, progressed through the Kickin' Kids program, Youth, and Red Belt programs. He participates in Specialty Class. His weapon of choice is 

Zachary Geffert 1st Degree

Zac started Tang Soo Do as a 3rd grader in March of 2006. He has worked diligently toward earning his black belt and can be counted on to assist with classes of younger students when needed. His weapon of choice is the Bo.  

Stephen Giampapa 1st Degree

Stephen began his martial arts training in Sept 2006. Like many of our black belts, Stephen puts many extra hours of karate into life by helping with the underbelt classes as his most favorite part is coming to learn more karate.Stephen's most memorable moment was sparring all the black belts at his apprentice graduation.  His weapons of choice are the Bo Staff and Fans.

Brendan McClellan 1st Degree

Brendan began his martial arts training in January 2004. He can be counted on to assist whenever needed and in any area of martial arts.  His weapon of choice is knives.
